Castle Cottage is a 17th Century, two-storey property, suitable for up to four guests. The cottage is located immediately behind
The Angel Hotel in Abergavenny Town Centre and a few steps from Abergavenny Castle and Castle Meadows, as well as the town centre.
On the ground floor, there is a slate-floored sitting room with a sofa and armchairs around the open gas fireplace and a large farmhouse dining table. Just off the sitting room, there is a kitchenette and the cottage has some beautiful original artwork on display. The large king bedroom (6ft bed) on the first floor has exposed rafters, a writing desk and an en-suite shower room. The second, very small double bedroom (4'6 bed) at the rear of the property, with en-suite shower room, is accessed from the cottage garden, through the kitchen. Castle Cottage has a beautiful large garden with outdoor seating and a variety of established plants, perfect to enjoy in warmer weather.

Caradog Cottages are independent from our hotels and restaurants. Self catering is available for light cooking, we do not offer the option of room service. Please reference our
Cottage Checklist for items in each cottage (list is alphabetical), however we recommend using our variety of bars/restaurants for lunches and dinners (taxis are complimentary to
The Walnut Tree plus a return trip by prior arrangement).
The cottage is stocked with breakfast items (smoked salmon, ham, Greek yoghurt, bread, butter, freshly squeezed orange juice, jams, honey, homemade granola, eggs, milk, coffee and tea), along with daily housekeeping service.
The cottage does not consist of a telephone, however there is good WiFi coverage. The cottage is non-smoking.
Car parking is available in The Angel Hotel carpark (directly across the street).
Check in time is from 4pm with direct access from the keypad upon entrance into the cottages. Check out time is by 11am. We start servicing the cottages around 12pm.
Dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £15 per dog, per night.
